Clinical Supervisor
Personal Support Network is currently looking for a Clinical Supervisor. PSN is a non-profit, locally based organization in Fort McMurray that provides Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP) to many companies within this region. It is a demanding position requiring both management and psychotherapeutic skills.
Reporting to the Executive Director the Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
- Provide leadership and supervision to the clinical team
- Participate in ongoing planning for the organization
- Implementation and evaluation of program service delivery
- Liaise with corporate clients to develop strong partnerships
- Develop and review clinical policies and procedures
- Strong counseling skills to provide direct client service, group work, and crisis response
- Strong facilitation skills to provide workshops
- Responsible to carry a part time clinical caseload

- Work closely with the Board of Directors to fulfill strategic direction
Qualifications for the position:
Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or other related field with a clinical specialization. Candidate must be eligible for registration within professional designation. A minimum of 5 years plus clinical experience and 3 years plus supervisory experience is essential Understanding of EFAP programming and service delivery preferred.
This is a full time permanent position. The hourly rate is based on experience ranging from $39.06 - $41.74. Other benefits include cost of living allowance, vacation, travel days, and Flex cash (10% of net pay).

PCNs are a key part of the future direction of Alberta Health Services. The Edmonton North PCN is the largest PCN in the north half of the province and complements and supports the work of 130 family physicians. Our PCN is innovative and driven to support a difficult and deserving target population and the drastically overworked and understaffed family physicians who serve them.
We do things differently in Edmonton North. We are based out of Northgate Mall in a new, beautiful, welcoming, state-of-the-art multi-use clinic, education facility and office.

Mental Health Practitioner
Purpose of Position
The Mental Health Practitioner will support the family physicians of the Edmonton North PCN and their patients in identifying and accessing appropriate mental health and psychosocial services. This role will report to the Clinical Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Mental Health Practitioner include, but are not limited to:
1. The provision of mental health care services to a client roster, including:
• Assessing the needs of referred patients and determine a relevant treatment plan which may include short term intervention with the Mental Health Practitioner and/or case management or referral to appropriate community or regional programs
• Making professionally autonomous decisions in coordinating the care of patients
• Ensuring the maintenance of accurate records, completed in a timely manner
• Working in a collaborative manner with family physicians, other members of the PCN team and community resources to provide optimal care to the patients of the Edmonton North PCN; and
• Acting as a resource by providing consultative support
2. Participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of all the mental health care services offered by the PCN, including:
• Assisting in the development of policy and procedures relevant to the PCN’s Mental Health program
• Participating in establishing health promotion programs appropriate to the needs of the Edmonton North population
• Contributing to the development of effective and timely communication systems to include referral procedures and outcomes of referred patients; and
• Participating in the ongoing evaluation and evolution of the PCN Mental Health program
Qualifications & Expertise
• Masters Degree in Social Work (a Bachelor Degree in Social Work will be considered with appropriate experience) or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, Registered Psychiatric Nurse ,Registered Nurse, or Registered Occupational Therapist
• Active registration with appropriate professional college or association
• Minimum of two years recent experience working with community based mental health services and providing mental health therapy/counselling
• Knowledge of community and regional programs
• Strong assessment skills
• Group therapy experience would be considered an asset
Hours of Work & (if any) Special Considerations
38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday exclusive of lunch/breaks during standard operating hours. This position will involve some evening work, but this will not typically go past eight o’clock in the evening.

Position: The Hinton Friendship Centre Mamowichihitowin is offering a unique, exciting opportunity to work with an established program that provides treatment for victims, offenders and family members regarding family violence related issues. The program is a combined approach of Western therapeutic and Aboriginal cultural perspectives. It is a multi-disciplinary approach which incorporates many community agencies and an alternative sentencing process. Extensive training will be provided in this model.
The position is new and will be working with our current therapist in Grande Cache. In addition to working within the community of Grande Cache the position will work in the Susa Creek school one day a week.
Qualifications: Registered Psychologist of Alberta or Masters of Social Work. Experience providing individual, group and family therapy. Be knowledgeable and sensitive to Aboriginal issues with an understanding of the dynamics of intergenerational effects of abuse would be an asset.

Duties:
RDC, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, seeks applications for a probationary full time position in Psychology to start August 8, 2012. Candidates will have evidence of teaching excellence and scholarly productivity. A Ph.D. (or near completion) in psychology with an emphasis in one of the following applied areas is required: health psychology; applied cognitive psychology; industrial and organizational psychology; human factors; forensic psychology; sports psychology.
