Personal Support Network - Fort McMurray

Clinical Supervisor

Personal Support Network is currently looking for a Clinical Supervisor. PSN is a non-profit, locally based organization in Fort McMurray that provides Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP) to many companies within this region. It is a demanding position requiring both management and psychotherapeutic skills.

Reporting to the Executive Director the Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

- Provide leadership and supervision to the clinical team
- Participate in ongoing planning for the organization
- Implementation and evaluation of program service delivery
- Liaise with corporate clients to develop strong partnerships
- Develop and review clinical policies and procedures
- Strong counseling skills to provide direct client service, group work, and crisis response
- Strong facilitation skills to provide workshops
- Responsible to carry a part time clinical caseload
- Work closely with and act as back up to the Executive Director
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to fulfill strategic direction

Qualifications for the position:
Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or other related field with a clinical specialization. Candidate must be eligible for registration within professional designation. A minimum of 5 years plus clinical experience and 3 years plus supervisory experience is essential Understanding of EFAP programming and service delivery preferred.

This is a full time permanent position. The hourly rate is based on experience ranging from $39.06 - $41.74. Other benefits include cost of living allowance, vacation, travel days, and Flex cash (10% of net pay).

Homewood Human Solutions™ is seeking a registered psychologist to serve as Clinical Manager, Substance Abuse Services for the balance of a one year maternity leave and then move into a full time permanent position as an additional Clinical Manager. The position involves a combination of management and clinical work. Preferred start date to be mutually determined.

The preferable location for this position would be Edmonton but we will also consider Calgary, Saskatoon or our Regina office.

Main responsibilities:

Program Overview - Some travel throughout our catchment area will be required.
Based in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta Heartland is Alberta's 31st Primary Care Network (PCN). The PCN works collaboratively with family physicians to strengthen primary health care delivery in communities of Fort Saskatchewan, Redwater, Gibbons, and Lamont.

Position - As a Mental Health Therapist you will be part of our team, working collaboratively with PCN family physicians to provide services to patients based on professional practice standards.  Experience with solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy is required.  Knowledge of community resources is an asset.  Working within a team environment with colleagues across the health care continuum is required.
 
Monday to Friday – 8:00am-4:15pm or 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. 
From time to time, hours of work may need to be flexible based on program demands. Some evening hours are required.

Education
 • A Masters Degree in Psychology or Social Work with counselling as a restricted activity. A Bachelors Degree in Nursing with significant evidence of specialization in Mental Health nursing from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.  An equivalent combination of knowledge and skills may be considered. 
• Active registration and practice permit with the appropriate college or association.

Experience
• Must have experience providing mental health therapy (individual and group counseling).  Strong group facilitation skills are an asset. 
• Experience working with community based mental health services.  
• Knowledge of community and regional programs and skills in case management, curriculum development, program start up and planning, implementation and evaluation is an asset. 

Skills 
• Proficiency in using computers and using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of and ability to use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Netcare would be an asset.
• Standard Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification at the Provider Level C. 
• Physical ability to do the job without restriction.
• Knowledge of the Health Information and Protection of Privacy and Personal Information Acts in addition to your professional organizations ethics and standards of practice. 
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• A current criminal records check including vulnerable populations is required as a condition of employment.
